Approaching each individual as unique and letting myself surprised by our own embodied experience of life, I could attempt to express that at times (not always) uncommon undiagnosed findings such as seat belt injury, memory of anaesthetics, scarring, extensive tattoes on vulnerable body areas, abortions, invasive medical investigations or visual shocks, all this intertwined with the emotional memory of it, can lead to loss of function and cause symptoms such as migranes, headaches, low vitality, tendinities, vertigos, bad quality sleep, digestive disturbances etc.
I would also mention the complex dynamic of accidents create a unique bio-mechanical protective pattern in the body and worth to be explored via the body language through the fascial system.
My osteopathic approach like for many other practitioners, has been progressively changing and has now brought me to be inclined to identify what I could call body memories, defensive patterns which at times prevent complete rehabilitation. Generally via the fascial system and often via a method called BLT (balanced ligamentus tension) I would provide the support to help the body to rebalance itself and recreate a more functional integration.
In general term the name ‘Osteopathy’ is misleading, implying that the session is only based on the bony system, but it rather takes into account an array of functionally correct postural balance based on various systems of the body (visceral, ligamentous, nervous, respiratory or endocrinal) but also psychological as well as social which makes it holistic and integrative.
Osteopathic manipulative treatment consists of a wide range of manual therapy techniques that are used to optimize function and reduce pain. Osteopaths typically treat people for musculoskeletal pain, most commonly back and neck pain, but often from all manifestation of embodied emotional stress and for the promotion of general health or treatment of some health conditions.
I might also offer advice on posture, ergonomics, exercise, and lifestyle in conjunction with reassurance and encouragement to be active rapidly and give patient’s autonomy.
Osteopaths do not prescribed medication and do not interfere but rather interact in a complementary manner with the medical profession. Each session lasts 45 min to 1 hour and the number of sessions varies accordingly. In most cases the result is ongoing improvement and well-being.

Marco is amazing. He managed to save my left leg. Literally.

I was suffering a severe hernia in the lower part of the spine (L4-L5). It was touching my left lumbar nerve, in a way that I was not able to walk without a stick. There was a pain and stiffness along the whole leg. I went to many doctors in Bulgaria and Italy (also well-known neurosurgeon in Milan). They were all confident that I could lose my leg (senses, mobility) in few months, if I do not operate.
Few weeks before scheduling an operation in Ospedale Fatebenefratelli e Oftalmico, in Milan, I went to Marco as last attempt to avoid operation (big thanks to Patrizia, our landlord, who introduced Marco to us!). After the second session, I was able to walk again. After few more sessions, I was able to restart my normal life, without pain and suffering.
It’s been already six years since that moment. I am still fine, and haven’t done any surgical operation.
I continue to visit Marco once or twice per year, for regular checks. I do the exercises he prescribed me every day, and changed my daily habits in the office.

You might thing the hernia is a rather mechanical problem that once serious, requires surgery. In fact, your body and mind can do a lot to heal the issue and to adapt.

And Marco is the right guy to tell you how.

    Thanks a lot, Marco!!

Marco lifted something from me that I didn’t know was weighing me down so much. He brought me back into my body and this lead me to feel a lot more energy, peace and joy. He worked on PMS and period pain and improved things a lot! I wake up and feel life tingling in my feet. I’m more at ease in contact with other people and beings. I feel a strong will to keep up feeling like this, feeling like myself really, that was unknown to me.

I treasure the experience! Thank you so much!
